What is Ultrasound Imaging?

Ultrasound scanning uses high-frequency sound waves and computer technology to create images of internal organs of the human body. It is an inspection without radiation. Ultrasound examinations are widely used in imaging examinations of the abdomen, muscle tissue, breast, heart, blood vessels, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

The General Electric (GE) Logic S8 ultrasonic instrument used by Prestige Medical Imaging Center and Prestige Women's Imaging Center is equipped with elastic graph technology, which can evaluate the hardness of body tissues to aid diagnosis. This technique is very helpful for breast ultrasound examination.
